Background
Tammy joined Harvey Lindsay Commercial Real Estate as a sales and leasing associate in 2002, having worked for the previous five years in the Newport News office of Divaris Real Estate as a retail and office leasing agent.
The experience in retail and construction gives her a broad understanding of client's requirements and desires for their business. Tammy takes advantage of the latest available technology in the industry to gain an edge in the market and offer clients quality and efficient service. She majored in Business at Arkansas Tech University.
Since joining Harvey Lindsay Commercial Real Estate, Tammy has been working to lease up the brand new Industrial/Flex development of Oyster Point West. Oyster Point West is located off Jefferson Avenue behind Office Depot in Newport News.
When Tammy took on the project in 2003, only the first building of four (300 Ed Wright Lane) was fully leased. The owners soon began construction of 310 Ed Wright Lane (19,700 square feet), 311 Ed Wright Lane (44,000 square feet.), and 320 Ed Wright Lane (12,000 square feet.). As all three of these properties were soon fully leased, the ownership began planning for more buildings to come. The first building was an 8,000 square feet flex property (known as 311 Bell King Road) which is now fully leased with three more currently under construction, plus one more that was a build-to-suite. So of the 71,000 square feet under construction, 34,000 sq. ft. is already pre-leased. By the end of 2008, Oyster Point West will total 181,956 square feet.
Jefferson West is the development on Jefferson Avenue anchored by Office Depot. We welcomed Recreation Warehouse to the site after completing construction and added an additional 15,000 square feet, which soon was leased to Harbor Freight to bring this complex to a fully leased status.
Tammy has been very successful through persistence and hard work in renewing existing tenants and taking her centers to a fully leased status.
