Background
Since embarking in Real Estate brokerage and development in 2004, Joseph worked with CBRE and Sperry Van Ness before becoming an independent broker of Investment Grade Real Estate. He has completed transactions totaling over 95 million dollars with national concerns such as, Cingular Wireless, Starbucks, Ford Motor Credit, Darden, Tractor Supply and Price Chopper. Additionally, he completed large industrial and office transactions with Nationwide Insurance, Emerson, F.D.I.C, The Medallion Group, Wilshire Holdings, Morgan Stanley Private Equity, Cole Capital and Inland Real Estate.
Previously, he was a principal for The Pietrafesa Company, an over $100 million clothing manufacturing and marketing company. He spent over 20 years heading up sales and marketing for the operation that included factories in three states and contract facilities abroad while employing over 1000 associates.
He is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers and also serves on the board of directors for The Leukemia Society in Central New York, is a co-sponsor of The Pietrafesa Lecture Series at Syracuse University, Co-funds a high school educational scholarship and is a past board member of several charities and educational institutions.
Mr. Pietrafesa resides in Poquoson with his wife, Dr. Martha Ferguson Pietrafesa.
