Kathy is responsible for the overall operations and development of the Property Management Department. The
Property Management portfolio currently includes approximately 7 million square feet of commercial properties
in the Hampton Roads area. Our portfolio includes shopping centers, office buildings, office warehouses, and
industrial properties. Kathy’s responsibilities include managing and directing a staff of 15 which consist of
8 Property Managers, a Facility Manager, a Tenant Services Coordinator, a Property Administrator, 3 Lease
Administrators, and an Account Administrator. She is an effective team leader with the proven ability to manage
and direct the staff in all aspects of property operations. In addition, she handles the training for all positions
within the department, established department policies and procedures, addresses major client/tenant inquires,
overseeing the master insurance program, and is responsible for new management accounts.
She was also instrumental in the development of HL Construction, a full-service construction company which
provides on-site employees and maintenance services for the commercial properties managed by this department,
and also handles any construction needs for our clients from Tenant Build-Outs to Property Renovations.
Kathy currently serves as a Board of Director for Harvey Lindsay Commercial Real Estate.
Prior to joining the firm, Kathy was a Property Manager with Harrison and Bates, Inc. in Richmond, Virginia where
she worked for seven years and was responsible for the management of approximately fifteen shopping centers,
in the Richmond area, which totaled 1.5 million square feet.

Kathy currently serves on the NNGreen Citizen Advisory Team, which provides guidance to the city of Newport
News’ Sustainability Team in the development of the City’s Sustainability Plan.
